Erhöhter Lysophosphatidylcholingehalt in Thrombozytenmembranen bei schizophrenen Patienten

Zusammenfassung

Vor kurzem konnten wir einen Unterschied in der Aktivität des die Phospholipide abbauenden Enzyms Phospholipase A2 (PLA2) feststellen. Wir fanden signifikant höhere Aktivitäten in Plasma, Serum und Thrombozyten schizophrener Patienten, verglichen mit gesunden Kontrollpersonen und nicht-schizophrenen psychiatrischen Patienten [5, 6, 7], Das Hauptsubstrat der PLA2 ist Phosphatidylcholin (PC), welches in das hochtoxische Abbauprodukt Lysophosphatidylcholin (LPC) und Arachidonsäure gespalten wird [4, 8].
