Zusammenfassung
Das Multiorganversagen (MOV) wird durch verschieden starke Schädigung mehrerer Organe im Rahmen eines Schockgeschehens, welches unterschiedlicher Genese sein kann, ausgelöst. Bei vielen Intensivpatienten und vor allem bei denen mit MOV fällt eine Thrombopenie und eine Anämie auf. Auf der anderen Seite besteht häufig eine Leukozytose. Obwohl diese Befunde oft durch Verbrauchskoagulopathie, Blutung oder Sepsis erklärt werden können, stellt sich die Frage, ob bei einigen dieser Patienten die Thrombopenie bzw. Anämie durch eine Erschöpfung der Knochenmarkreserven im Sinne eines Knochenmarkversagens im Rahmen des MOV zu erklären sein könnte.
