Abstract
Intracranial metastases may be single (Figs. 1, 3), multiple or diffuse (Figs. 2, 9, 11, 13). The diffuse metastases have a meningeal location, whereas the others are commonly found in the tissue. They are believed to prefer the more richly vascularized districts (boundary between the cortex and the white matter), but this assumption is not unanimous, just as there are discordant views on their predilection for the left hemisphere.
