  • Conference paper
Book cover Drug Addiction and AIDS

Abstract

In Spain, the problem of ’illegal’ drug use and abuse is a relatively recent phenomenon, and it is in the eighties when the increase in the use and abuse of these substances became obvious. In our present study we show a general view of the problem of drug addiction in our country, making a special point of the epidemiology of use and abuse of these substances, the policy, legislatión and health structure related to ’illegal’ drugs, and finally, we will show some comments regarding aids and drug addiction.
