Six preterm and term newborns were examined. Each baby was first examined by duplex scan sonography DSS (ATL Mark 500) according to the method described by Jorch [191, 196] Immediately after, the children were examined by transcranial Doppler sonography TCD. The vs, vm, and vd in the ICA and ACA were measured. Optimal Doppler signals in the ICA were obtained with both techniques at the same depth.
