Summary

Enzymatic determinations of four enzymes, Arylsulphatase A (ARSA), a-iduronidase (IDUA), β-galactosidase (GLB) and hexosaminidase were performed in 19 cases of meningioma. Gene dosage effect was demonstrated for ARSA and IDUA; preliminary evidence for mapping a “protective protein” of GLB in the region 22pter → q11 was also obtained.
