Abstract
Niveal features are due to the action of snow and ice. Snow, if it accumulates, consolidates into ice which may form giant streams proceeding downhill in a manner similar to that of rivers. These ice streams are called glaciers. Figs. 8.11 to 8.13 deal with the phenomenology of snow and ice fields and glaciers.
