The European Hadron Facility (EHF) project is briefly described. It consists of an accelerator complex designed to supply a 100 μA primary proton beam of 30 GeV, with a wide spectrum of intense secondary beams of high quality. The outlines of the research program, centered on the physics in the Confinement region, a yet unresolved problem, and on the search of signals of new physics by precision measurements, are discussed.
