Part of the book series: Few-Body Systems ((FEWBODY,volume 1))

Abstract

The analogy between photon-exchange and meson-exchange many-body forces is examined with the aid of dispersion theory and used to draw conclusions about the role of baryon resonances in meson-exchange three-nucleon potentials. The importance of low-energy theorems and soft pion theorems in the three-nucleon potential is stressed.
