Zusammenfassung

Fortschritte in der Narkose- und in der Operationstechnik machen immer aggressivere Operationen an immer äheren Patienten möghch und erfordern ein ständig neues Überdenken der Operationsrisken nicht nur aus chirurgischmethodischer, sondern auch aus internistischer Sicht. Die Fragen, die vor einer Operation an den Internisten gerichtet werden, betreffen im wesenthchen die zu erwartenden Risken, aber auch die zu wählenden prophylaktischen Maßnahmen (Goldman 1983):

    Welches nicht-operative Risiko ist zu erwarten?

  2. 2.

    Welche Komplikationen sind bei dem jeweiligen Patienten zu erwarten?

  3. 3.

    Welche Vorsorge kann getroffen werden, um das individuelle Risiko zu begrenzen?
