Selected Topics in the EMC Effect

The explanations of the EMC ratio of the bound to free nucleon structure functions are reviewed. A general scheme shared by most of the models is presented. The model with nucleons, Δ isobars and pions is described in detail. Other applications of the EMC effect are also given.
