Abstract

It is not surprising that there is a damage to corneal sensitivity after surgical interventions on the anterior segment. In these cases there is usually a direct cutting of the sensory nerves. The Situation is different after an Operation for a retinal detachment in which changes in corneal sensitivity would not be anticipated.
