Zusammenfassung
Unter Netzhautabhebung versteht man eine Ansammlung von seröser Flüssigkeit zwischen der inneren Neuroretina oder sensorischen Netzhaut und dem äußeren retinalen Pigmentepithel. Die Flüssigkeit sammelt sich in dem Spaltraum, der durch den Invaginationsprozeß der Augenblase während der Embryonalentwicklung präformiert worden ist (Abb. 14). Als primäre, spontane, idiopathische oder rhegmatogene Netzhautabhebung wird eine Netzhautabhebung bezeichnet, deren primärer ätiologischer Faktor ein Defekt in der Netzhaut ist. Aus klinischen und experimentellen Beobachtungen kann der Schluß abgeleitet werden, daß ein Netzhautdefekt allein nicht zur Entstehung der Netzhautabhebung ausreicht. Zusätzhche ätiologische Faktoren sind: degenerative Veränderungen von Netzhaut und Glaskörper im weitesten Sinne.
