Zusammenfassung

Granulozyten entwickeln sich aus Myeloblasten über die Stadien Promyelozyt, Myelozyt, Metamyelozyt (Tabelle 1 und 2). Während dieses Reifungsprozesses entwickeln sich Granula im Zytoplasma. Zuerst bilden sich unspezifische Granula, später neutrophile, eosinophile oder basophile Granula. Myeloische Zellen entwickeln sich im Knochenmark, treten dann ins periphere Blut über und werden zu den Geweben transportiert, wo sie ihre Funktionen erfüllen können. Dabei werden zwei etwa gleich große Kompartments von Granulozyten unterschieden, das zirkulierende und das marginale Kompartment. Unter dem marginalen Kompartment versteht man die Summe der an den Gefäßwänden sitzenden Zellen, das zirkulierende Kompartment ist die Summe der zirkulierenden Zellen. Spezifische Granulozytenchalone steuern wahrscheinlich die Produktion von Granulozyten, so daß sich zwischen Produktion und Verbrauch ein Gleichgewicht einstellt. Nur ein geringer Prozentsatz der Granulozyten geht im Blut zugrunde, der weitaus größte Teil wird in den Geweben verbraucht. Daher ist auch eine Berechnung von Fließgleichgewichten sehr erschwert.
