Zusammenfassung
Vor etwa 10 Jahren waren zirka 50 natürliche Acetylenverbindungen bekannt (70). In der Zwischenzeit ist die Zahl derartiger Verbindungen auf etwa 440 angewachsen. Vor allem aus höheren Pflanzen, insbesondere aus Compositen und Umbelliferen, sind sehr viele neue Typen von Verbindungen isoliert worden, die die große Variationsbreite dieser Naturstoffklasse erkennen lassen. Mit der Anwendung moderner physikalischer Methoden, wie Kernresonanz- und Massenspektroskopie, ist es gelungen, auch die Strukturen von Substanzen aufzuklären, die in äußerst geringer Konzentration neben den Hauptinhaltsstoffen zu isolieren sind. Gerade diese Verbindungen haben wertvolle Einblicke in die wahrscheinlichen biogenetischen Beziehungen dieser Substanzklasse ergeben, so daß sich jetzt ein erster Überblick über die Hauptbiogeneseschritte bei den natürlichen Acetylenen abzeichnet. Gestützt werden diese Überlegungen durch zahlreiche Untersuchungen mit 14C- oder tritium-markierten Polyinen, deren Umwandlungen in den Pflanzen studiert wurden.
