Abstract
Today’s technology has produced three types of propulsion that will be available for space travel in the next few years. These systems are divided into the categories of chemical, nuclear, and electrical propulsion. This discussion reviews the current status of each system, correlates the different types of engines, and predicts the applications of the various types.
