Zusammenfassung

Man muß stets daran denken, daß eine Bluttransfusion ein Eingriff ist, der die Ursache verschiedener unangenehmer und selbst lebensgefährlicher Komplikationen sein kann, so daß eine Bluttransfusion eine wirkliche Indikation, eine sorgfältige Vorbereitung und eine gründliche Beobachtung erfordert Selbst bei der besten Vorbereitung muß man doch mit einem Sterbefall auf 1000 bis 3000 Transfusionen rechnen (34).
