Zusammenfassung

Schilddrüsenextrakt (Elytiran, Apondon enthält Schilddrüsenextrakt) Sowohl durch Gebrauch von Schilddrüsenpulver (Thyreoid) als auch durch Thyroxin können Erscheinungen von schlechter Toleranz auftreten. Diese Empfindlichkeit für Thyreoid wechselt bedeutend, einerseits vom Extrem der Lipoidnephrose, bei der Gramme vertragen werden können, bis anderseits zu den Krankheiten, die durch herabgesetzte Funktion des Hypophyse-Vorderlappens verursacht werden (Krankheiten von Simmonds und von Shebhan). Diese Krankheiten können schon auf 50 mg Thyreoid ungünstig reagieren; man beobachtet Verschlechterung der schon vorhandenen Beschwerden. Es kann sogar ein Syndrom, das einer Addison-Krise ähnelt, entstehen und das Leben in Gefahr bringen (1a).
