Zusammenfassung

Isolierte Krankheiten des Perikards sind ungewöhnlich, aber eine sekundäre Beteiligung als Folge der Ausdehnung eines Prozesses von einem benachbarten Organ her, einer über die Blutbahn verbreiteten Infektion oder einer Beteiligung bei Allgemeinkrankheiten, kommt häufig vor. Oft gehen die lokalen Erscheinungen am Perikard in den allgemeinen Symptomen des Grundleidens unter, manchmal beherrschen sie jedoch das klinische Bild.
