Abstract
Short descriptions of the sympathetic ground plexus have already been given in the wider study of the innervation of the human nipple (Cathcart, Gairns and Garven, 1948), in the statement accompanying a demonstration of microscopic slides at the International Anatomical Congress in Oxford (Garven and Gairns, 1950) and also in the detailed account of the Bielschowsky-Gros silver diammine ion method as used in this laboratory (Garven and Gairns, 1952).
