Zusammenfassung

Die neurovegetative Peripherie gehört, ungeachtet der verdienstvollen Bemühungen zahlreicher Forscher, noch immer zu den am meisten umstrittenen morphologischen Problemen der Neurohistologic. Neben den Meinungsverschiedenheiten, die sich auf eine unterschiedliche Deutung der Befunde beziehen, haben sich nicht wenige Unstimmigkeiten lediglich aus einer unzureichenden Klarstellung der Begriffe ergeben; können erstere nur durch die Beibringung neuer, womöglich besserer Beweise beseitigt werden, so müssen letztere so schnell als möglich durch unmißverständliche Begriffsbestimmungen beseitigt werden, andernfalls wir, wie Boeke (1943) sich ausgedrückt hat, in ein Chaos gelangen, aus dem wir niemals wieder herauskommen können.
