Zusammenfassung
Die Bedingungen für das Zustandekommen des Herzschlages liegen im Herzen. Es wurde angenommen, daß der Reiz hiezu entweder von den intra-cardialen Nervenbündeln ausgeht (neurogene Theorie), oder aber vom Muskel (muskuläre Theorie, Gaskell).
