Südschottland umfaßt die Southern Uplands mit dem Flachland an der N-Seite des Sol way Firth im SW und mit der Tweed-Teviot-Senkebiszu den Cheviots im E (Abb. 155). Jene durchziehen es in SW—NE von Meer zu Meer, von The Rhinns of Galloway bis St. Abb’s Head.
