Different Absorption Modes of Pions in 3He, 3H, 4He

π + and π absorption on 3 He,3 H and4 He has been measured at various energies across the ∆ resonance. All different absorption channels could be separated. Genuine 3N absorption has been established for all 3 nuclei. The absorption mechanisms have been studied and total absorption cross sections have been determined.
