The Helicity Shell as a Manifold of Mapped Chiral Vectors

Abstract

Chiral symmetry is shown to constrain the effective axial charge couplings of the nucleon and its two lowest resonances to a 3-hyperboloid (the helicity shell). This constraint has been used to check consistency of some effective nucleon structure models with chiral symmetry.
