Three-nucleon Potentials due to π and ρ Exchange

We review the construction of ππ—, ρπ—, and ρρ—exchange potentials from off-mass-shell meson-nucleon scattering amplitudes which are constrained by the symmetries of QCD and by the experimental data. The results of this program are put into the context of recent developments in NN potentials and in few-body calculations Finally, we present perturbative triton binding energy effects by the Tucson-Melbourne family of three-body forces.
