Design and Development of a Document Management System for Banking Applications: an Example of Office Automation

  • E. Bertino

In this paper we describe the design and development of a document management system. The documents contain regulations that are imparted by the bank management. These documents are consulted by a large number of users for carrying out their tasks. An important aspect in the design of the system is the definition of an appropriate authorization model and of a query language for document selection. In this paper, we discuss the requirements that have a major impact on the design and we present the document authorization model.
