Summary
IT is an elegant treatment of the IgE allergic disease in the airways and in venom allergy. IT must be started very early in the allergic disease together with allergen avoidance, prevention, optimal symptomatic and anti-inflammatory treatment and general health care. We have international guidelines for IT and are able to educate IT staff and patients according to these recommendations. We are also able to organize IT in our countries in compliance with the health systems of the individual countries. The IT Centre Model can be recommended as a safe and effective way of running IT.
