Die Behandlung der Binge-Eating-Störung mit Antidepressiva

Zusammenfassung

Die „Binge-Eating“-Störung (Störung mit „Freßanfällen“), welche erstmals im Diagnostischen und Statistischen Manual psychiatrischer Störungen DSM-IV (APA 1994) enthalten war, gilt als die jüngste Eßstörung neben der Anorexia Nervosa und der Bulimia Nervosa. Dieses Krankheitsbild befindet sich noch im Forschungsvorfeld, d.h. ihr distinktiver und eigenständiger Charakter muß empirisch erst belegt werden. Obwohl sich die Diagnosekriterien der „Binge- Eating“-Störung deutlich von jenen der Anorexia Nervosa abgrenzen, entbehrt sie noch der Trennschärfe zur Bulimia Nervosa (non-purging type) und unterschiedlichen Formen der Adipositas. Sie zeichnet sich wie die Bulimia Nervosa durch wiederkehrende „Freßanfälle“aus, die nicht mit regelmäßigem Einsatz von kompensatorischen Verhaltensweisen einhergehen, jedoch deutliches Leiden verursachen (APA 1994).
