Zusammenfassung

Seit der ersten Auflage waren mehrere Änderungen in der Terminologie notwendig. Die Frage der Begriffsbestimmung macht nämlich auf unserem Fachgebiete ganz besondere Schwierigkeiten. Dafür sind wieder einige grundlegende Verschiedenheiten zwischen der dynamischen Funktionspathologie der Sprach- und Stimmheilkunde und den pathologisch-anatomisch orientierten Klassifikationen der meisten anderen Fächer der Medizin verantwortlich. Ein anderer Grund ist die Entwicklung der Sprachheilkunde, welche ursprünglich auf der experimentellen Phonetik und der Physiologie des Sprechvorganges aufgebaut war. A. H. McAllister (1966) beschrieb die Geschichte der Sprachheilkunde einschließlich ihrer philosophischen Prinzipien mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Verhältnisse in England.
