Definitions and Theoretical Concepts
In the methodology and philosophy of science questions of definability of concepts have traditionally occupied a central place. Furthermore, the strict positivist dogma for defining (or reducing) one’s theoretical concepts in terms of observational terms and the recent advances in modern logic have given strong additional emphasis to the theory of definability.
