Abstract

There are still a number of problems in fairly routine neurosurgery on which different views may be expressed. The editorial board of Advances and Technical Standards in Neurosurgery decided in December 1985 to publish the views of its members, all experienced surgeons, on a variety of subjects and the initial choice fell upon saccular aneurysms. This benign lesion can be successfully operated upon but there are many differing views about the best methods of approach.
