Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present the fieldbus testing methodology which is used in Electricité de France laboratories. Tests are notably achieved to assess interoperability and interwork between products. Their goal is therefore not only to prove that products conform to a specific standard but also to check their ability to interoperate and interwork. Specific tools like a network analyser and a polynomial waveform synthetiser are used to both control and observe communicating product behaviors on the network.
