Abstract
In the field of building and home automation, the need of transmitting voice using the installed fieldbus system increases. The presented LonVoice system is based on the LonWorks technology to transmit voice between LonVoice nodes in real time. LonVoice extends typical LonWorks applications in order to use the same transport media for transmitting control data and voice data. Several approaches how to interface voice data to a Neuron Chip as well as the demands on the LonWorks communication channel are discussed. Based on these results a low cost implementation is presented in this document.
