Zusammenfassung
IPT ist eine Kurzzeittherapie, die von Klerman et al. (1984) zur ambulanten Behandlung der Major Depression nach DSM III entwickelt wurde. Die individuelle Lebenssituation der Patienten wird einem von vier Problembereichen zugeordnet, die nach den Ergebnissen empirischer Studien (Übersicht in Klerman et al. 1984) mit Entstehung oder Aufrechterhaltung einer Depression in Zusammenhang gebracht werden: Trauer und Verlust, Rollenwechsel, Rollenkonflikt und soziale Defizite.
