Zusammenfassung

Der Drogenkonsum stellt seit geraumer Zeit in allen Industriegesellschaften ein ernst zunehmendes Problem dar. Eine deutliche Zunahme von Drogennotfällen in Deutschland ist zu verzeichnen. Neben dem Mißbrauch von legalen Drogen wie Alkohol, Nikotin und Medikamenten, hat der Konsum illegaler Drogen epidemische Ausmaße angenommen. Aufgrund der hohen Dunkelziffer ist man zur Häufigkeit von Drogenkonsum und Drogenabhängigkeit auf Schätzungen angewiesen.
