Zusammenfassung

Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden Gründe für die Erstellung von Zellinienbanken und charakterisierter Saatlager zur anschließenden Enwicklung von Vorrats- und Verteilerlagerhaltung erörtert. Detailliert werden die wichtigsten Tests auf mikrobische und virale Infektionen mit Bezug auf Gefahren bei der Verwendung von nicht oder ungenügend getesteten Kulturen diskutiert. Schließlich wird die Identifizierung von spezifischen Zellinien durch Southern Blot oder PCR DNA-Fingerprinting dargelegt, um eine verläßliche Qualitätskontrolle mit jeglichem Zellauthentifizierungsprogramm zu ermöglichen.
