Efficient Technique for Solving Few-Body Scattering Problems by the Wave-Packet Continuum Discretisation

Abstract

Brief description of the new general approach to solving few-body scattering problems on the L 2 basis is given. The formalism is based on the wave-packet continuum discretisation method which leads to purely algebraic scattering equations with non-singular kernels. Practical solving few-body collision problems by the method requires much less numerical cost as compared with a solution of an appropriate Faddeev-Yakubovsky integral equations.
