Part of the book series: Few-Body Systems ((FEWBODY,volume 14))

Abstract

We discuss the performance of modern constituent quark models in the description of light and strange baryons. In particular we address the issues of excitation spectra, electroweak structure, and mesonic resonance decays. Special attention is paid to the implementation of essential features of lowenergy quantum chromodynamics and to the role of relativity.
