Abstract
Results of publications describing intratechal administration of Baclofen emphasize that the most effective method of infusion is continuous rather than the bolus administration (Lazorthes 1988, Müller et al. 1987, Penn 1988). Two kinds of implantable drug pumps, permitting continuous infusion, are today available for Baclofen intra-thecal administration, a gas driven pump (Infusaid 400®)* and an electronic pump (Synchromed®)**.
