Zusammenfassung

Die Schweregradeinteilung depressiver Syndrome ist in klinischen Studien neben der diagnostischen Zuordnung — ein viel diskutiertes Problem, das große Bedeutung für die Bewertung von Behandlungserfolgen hat. In vielen Arbeiten werden Schweregradeinteilungen in zwei oder drei Gruppen vorgenommen, weil sich unterschiedliche Therapieerfolge bei verschiedenen Schweregraden eines depressiven Syndroms gezeigt haben (Angst et al., 1993). Des weiteren forderte die Consensus Conference in Zürich (Angst et al., 1989) für ein Antidepressivum einen Wirksamkeitsnachweis] bei Patienten mit einem depressiven Syndrom von mindestens mittlerem Schweregrad, ohne diesen jedoch zu definieren.
