Abstract
The superior turbinate is continuous with the middle turbinate and the skull base. At endoscopy, it is found between the middle turbinate and the nasal septum. Its projection forms the medial limits of the superior meatus, into which the posterior ethmoid sinuses drain. Tracking from the nasal spine along the posterior one-third of the superior turbinate is a useful method to locate the sphenoid ostium. A concha bullosa may also be present in the superior turbinate.
