Zusammenfassung
Unter Dystonie versteht man ein Syndrom, bei dem es durch anhaltende Muskelkontraktionen zu drehenden und repetitiven Bewegungen oder pathologischen Haltungen kommt (Fahn 1988). Dystone Bewegungsstörungen werden nach ihrer Ätiologie in primäre (idiopathische) und sekundäre (symptomatische) Dystonien eingeteilt. Die idiopathischen können hereditär bedingt sein oder sporadisch auftreten. Nach ihrem Verteilungsmuster werden fokale, segmentale und generalisierte Dystonien unterschieden (Ceballos-Baumann 1996; Csala u. Deuschl 1994).
