Zusammenfassung

Neuropsychologische Untersuchungen in der Psychiatrie haben einen wesentlichen Beitrag insbesondere zum Verständnis der Schizophrenie geleistet (siehe z. B. Seltzer et al. 1997; Norman et al. 1997). Das Ziel solcher Untersuchungen ist es, neuropsychologische Defizite (oder Stärken) der Erkrankten zu charakterisieren, und die diese Leistungsminderungen bedingenden strukturellen und funktionellen Gehirnalterationen aufzuklären. Hierbei kommt neben der Erhebung des neuropsychologischen Quer- und Längsschnittbefundes und dessen Inbeziehungssetzen zur Psychopathologie und zu weiteren Krankheitsparametern, modernen Methoden der strukturellen und funktionellen Bildgebung wesentliche Bedeutung zu.
