Zusammenfassung

In der industrialisierten Welt steigt mit zunehmendem Lebensalter auch der Blutdruck (Abb. 7). Es bleibt allerdings Konvention, ab welcher Blutdruckhöhe von einem überhöhten Blutdruck gesprochen wird. Die bekannteste Faustregel besagt, daß der systolische Blutdruck den Wert von 100 + Lebensalter (Jahre) in mm Hg nicht überschreiten sollte.
