Scientific WorkPlace enthält einen Editor für druckreifes Produzieren von Formeln, Gleichungen, wissenschaftliche Texte und Grafiken. Zugleich ist es ein Computer-Algebra- System für symbolische und nummerische Berechnung. Es versteht die gewöhnliche mathematische Notation. Scientific WorkPlace baut auf TEX und wahlweise auf dem MAPLE- oder MATHEMATICA-Kernel auf, einstellbar über ↪ Tools ↪ User ↪ Setup ↪ Compute.
