Abstract
It is found that the suppression due to ΛN-ΣN coupling solves the overbinding problem in Λ 5He but it, in turn, causes a severe underbinding in the four-body systems. The shortage of this binding is overcome by introducing the Λ–Σ coupling explicitly which is equivalent to the ΛN N three-body force. This force becomes strong in the 0+ states of 4Λ H and 4Λ He according to the coherently added enhancement. No significant effect of the Λ–Σ coupling is found in He isotope Λ hypernuclei while a strong Λ–Σ coupling effect is found in 6Λ H.
