Precise Measurement of the Transverse Asymmetry in Quasielastic 3He(e, e′) and the Neutron Magnetic Form Factor
We have measured the transverse asymmetry AT′ in 3He(e, e′) quasielastic scattering with high statistical precision for Q2-values from 0.1 to 0.6 (GeV/c)2. The data are expected to allow extraction of the neutron magnetic form factor G M n with an uncertainty similar to that of recent experiments on deuterium. Data analysis is currently in progress.
