Abstract
Differential cross section and analyzing powers, A y and A yy , for the elastic scattering of polarized deuteron from 12C, 40Ca, 90Zr, and 208Pb targets have been measured at E 1ab d = 270 MeV.
A sudden approximation has been applied to explain the experimental results. The calculation reproduces the phase of the momentum transfer dependence , but not the amplitude.
