Abstract
The mean elementary time in healthy subjects is 14.5ms. The range of inaccurate measurement is ¡À 2ms. This means a possible error of 13.8%. This value is too large. In order to reduce it, better technical devices should be applied with more precise evaluation programs processing the data. The validity of the elementary times has to be tested by different evaluation programs (FPM31e, FPM26f58, SING106n, SING104r) using different reaction time data, by replicating each el-ementary time in a second series and by the help of event-related potentials repli-cating the elementary times obtained by the evaluation of the reaction time data.The danger of measuring the elementary time without replication or ERP is shown in the following example.
